Abstract

Geopolitical instability, a high level of urbanization, the pace of life of the urban population and the active development of passive forms of indoor recreation lead to an increase in the need for natureoriented recreation formats. These include various types of ecological tourism organized in national parks.
They are the ones that attract tourists. The purpose of the scientific work is to assess the ecotourist attractiveness of the national parks of the Far Eastern Federal District. The methodological basis of the work was the assessment of ecotourism attractiveness using the methods of comparative analysis, statistical,
scoring. The work focuses on the development of a methodology for assessing attractiveness, selecting five key indicators: the distance from the administrative center, the number of ecological trails, tourist routes, visitor centers / museums, the average cost of accommodation. Data were collected according to the se-
lected criteria and an assessment of the national parks of the Far Eastern Federal District was carried out. A rating of their attractiveness has been compiled. The analysis of the current state of nine types of ecological tourism organized within the boundaries of the parks was carried out. It is concluded that in order to further increase the attractiveness of national parks, it is necessary to develop both the types of ecotourism considered in the study and promising ones. These included rural / agrotourism, event and eco-volunteer.
The obtained materials can be used by the management of specially protected natural areas to develop ecological tourism and increase tourist attractiveness.
